Map GTA VI: Discovered a significant increase in exploratable territory – but is smaller than expected

The map of Grand Theft Auto VI is taking shape thanks to the community’s work, with new revelations that show a significantly expanded play area compared to what was originally planned. The latest changes, guided by the State of Leonida project and documented by u/poorna sus14 on Reddit, led to a complete review of the coastal lines, buildings and streets of Vice City, Key Lento, Hamlet, Capri and Ambrosia, with a special focus on the map at the timetrica. New industrial and parking areas have been added, as well as details such as alleys, airports and new road links. Despite the reduction of the total territory, the reconstructed map of GTA VI, available for exploration on GTADB and State of Leonida, is estimated to cover approximately 85.6 km2 of land surface – an increase compared to almost 110 km2 estimated in the previous version. This reduction was caused by a revision of the scale, with a grid of 1 × 1 km that brought the overall size to about 21 × 20 km. Although smaller than expected (about 420 km2), the reconstructed area remains considerable, exceeding much 50 km2 estimated for GTA 5. The imposing detail and vastness of the territory contribute to creating a potentially more immersive gaming experience for Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
