GTA VI on PC By 2027? GamesBeat's Forecasting Stramba

A GamesBeat report suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 – still not officially announced for PC – could be released on the platform within the first three months of 2027. If confirmed, it would mean a gap between the release on console and PC of just four months, much shorter than the one seen in the past in the GTA titles. GamesBeat is based on “four sources of industry” that required anonymity to release this information. Rockstar Games hasn't commented on the news yet. This is a surprising prediction, considering that we had previously estimated a delay in the release PC until November 2027, typical of Rockstar's modus operandi. The time gap between GTA games has always been elevated over the years: Grand Theft Auto 3 (7 months), Vice City (7 months), San Andreas (8 months), Bully (2 years), GTA 4 (7 months), Red Dead Redemption (14 years, 5 months), GTA 5 (1 year, 6 months), RDR2 (1 year). A PC release within the first quarter of 2027 therefore appears particularly fast, especially considering the traditional break between the games exits. As pointed out by GamesBeat, it is also placed in the post-festive period, when players are often more cautious in economic investment. This early release could be seen negatively by a significant number of fans who would prefer the flexibility and power of the PC, but do not want to wait for the release on console, especially in light of the high cost of the premium edition of GTA 6 (100 dollars). Social media reactions were numerous and negative, reflecting the inability of some players to support two consecutive purchases for the same title. Of course, this prediction is to be taken with caution, and we cannot attribute greater knowledge of the situation to Strauss Zelnick or the Rockstar development team. It remains to be seen if Take-Two Interactive will confirm the date of release PC during the next financial report of November 9.
