Rockstar Launches the Collector’s Box "The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection" at $399.99 - Without the Game

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

Rockstar Games has just presented a new way to spend huge sums to their fans waiting for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI. The publisher opened pre-orders for an exclusive collector’s box linked to the game, with a price of $399.99. However, there is a significant condition: the box does not include the video game. Formally called “The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection”, the article is full of merchandising inspired by Vice City, focused on Macca the Gator, a fictional television series that exists within the game world based on the island of Leonida. The shipment is scheduled for 19 November, date of release of GTA 6. What does the Rockstar collector's box contain? Rockstar filled the box with clothing, accessories and collector's items, all printed with the Vice City brand. Here is the complete list: - A statuette of Macca the Gator, which relaxes with a cigarette and a hamster blood martini, with openable base to store valuable objects - Oakley Frogskins black glossy sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses and GTA VI pink logo - A ripstop shoulder bag with black/pink liner, woven patches and a customized YKK buckle - A hat New Era - A shot glass - A metal key ring shaped like a razor with engraved logos GTA VI and Vice City - A set of nine metal pins contained in a stash bag - Nine vinyl stickers packed in a stash bag - A double-sided front/back poster with Macca the Gator characters in front and a complete map of Leonida on the back. Rockstar presents the limited edition "The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection" physical, containing merchandising for passionate collectors. Available in pre-order at the price of $399, the collection is located exclusively on the Rockstar store, in limited quantities, with a limit of one unit per customer. International buyers will pay £349.99 in the UK respectively, €399.99 in Europe and CA$559.99 in Canada. This limit is not casual: scalpers have already assaulted Rockstar's shops to buy merchandising linked to the game, as demonstrated during the Tokyo Game Show, where the race to T-shirts and other collector's products has generated chaos among the resellers. It is expected a similar online frenzy, with inflated lists on the resale sites as soon as the stocks run out. Is that $400? The answer depends on who's buying it.
