Preordini GTA VI: Domina l'Ultimate Edition from 100 Dollars – Take-Two exceeds expectations

Grand Theft Auto VI's preorders are overtaking Take-Two's expectations, with the $100 Ultimate version selling more than the 80's Standard. The game will be available on 19 November 2026, and a new video will be released on Netflix on 27 August. The most expensive version of GTA 6 is attracting a greater share of preorders than the Standard edition. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, said this, the company that controls Rockstar Games. According to Zelnick, overall bookings are going better than expected, and many buyers prefer the $100 Ultimate Edition to the $80 Standard. Zelnick explained that such data could depend on the profile of users who purchase the game in advance. The most passionate fans, in fact, tend to be more likely to spend on additional content than those who will wait for the exit or evaluate the purchase at a later time. The Ultimate Edition includes several exclusive bonuses not included in the basic version. These include special vehicles, custom weapon variants, clothes, hairstyles and other aesthetic elements. The package also includes additional activities related to the customization of means, clothing, tattoos and character care. The choice to reserve some content to the most expensive version had already raised discussions among players at the time of the announcement of the different editions. Despite criticism, the first data on preorders indicate that a consistent part of the public interested in the launch is still preferring the most complete package. Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two provides for the fiscal year 2027 net bookings between 8 and 8.2 billion dollars, an estimate also supported by the expectations related to the new chapter of the Rockstar series. Another promotional appointment is planned before launch. Rockstar will publish on August 27, 2026 a detailed video dedicated to GTA 6. The video will debut on Netflix and will be available six hours later on the official Rockstar channels on YouTube. For Take-Two, this is an experiment in the strategy of communication of the game, while the initial trend of preorders already offers a first signal on the availability of a part of the audience to choose the premium edition. The data quoted by Zelnick, however, relate to the previous phase at the exit and still do not allow to determine what will be the distribution of overall sales after the launch.
